Gothic (architecture), anglican church, 17th century construction
Church of England. Rebuilt by Sir Christopher Wren. The design is said to be based on the pre-fire church, following a condition set down in the will of a benefactress. It is thus one of Wren's few buildings in what we now call the Gothic style. To Wren, this was the "modern" style, as opposed to the "ancient" or classical.
