Golden Rose Synagogue (Dnipro)

The Golden Rose Synagogue was built in 1868.
In 1924 the building was used as a workers' club and a warehouse and above the portice a seal of the Soviet Union was located in place of the Magen David.

In 1996, the building was returned to the Jewish community.
In 1999, the reconstruction began according to the project of the local Jewish architect A. Dolnyk.

The foyer, the prayer hall and the Holy Ark were designed by the Israeli artist Frank Meisler.
Above the entrance to the sanctuary is an image of golden roses, made by Meisler.

  • Быший советский Дворец Культуры в псевдо-античном стиле. На входном фронтоне - аляповато примостилась "звезда Давида". Ни к селу, ни к городу! :(
