Apartment building. One of the oldest "high rise" buildings on Altamount Road, built in 1956. Prior to its construction and that of its neighbour "Dilkoosha", residences on this street were low-rise bungalows.

"Palmera" was built at the same time as the neighbouring "Dilkoosha" apartments. At that time, Altamount Road had only low-rise houses. These two apartments, each six stories in height, were very unusual for their time.
