This is the site of Buildings 20A, 20B, 21 and 22.
Building 21 opened December 18, 1912 and was designed to care for 50 advanced cases of pulmonary tuberculosis. Later, with the opening of the Main building, this building became the "Colored Hospital", and later still was used as staff housing. 20A (built in 1942) and 20B (built in 1932) were additional wings. Behind 20A sat Dr. Ballard's residence.
