In 1958 on the outskirts of Kirovograd city a picturesque green island, which became the lungs of the city and one of the most popular places of rest for the inhabitants of our city. About 50 different kinds of trees and bushes were grown, and in 1972 the park was registered as a memorial park. A small zone of entertainments and rides were created on the territory of the park.
One of few Kirovograd's parks. The bigest one. Playground of people of the clothest boroughs and also for all people of the city .
From the 1 of May 2008 every people have to pay for entering the park and for going through it. Every ticket costs from 2 to 20 UAH. The soul of this idea is Kirovograd governor and owner of all paid parkings near Kolhospniy Rinok of Kirovograd and the owner of European market. I think the most part of people of the city hate him. His idea is only how to get more money disregarding all settlement of Kirovograd. He took away all garages of sick people on Volkov str. and has been picking up money for passing the park from people who has passed it for free for many years because it is the way at work or home for many people of neighbouring boroughs of Kiorovohrad.
