Port-au-Prince is the capital and largest city of Haiti. It is in the Ouest-Department (administrative division). It is organized into arrondisements (districts) and communes.
On January 12, 2010 an earthquake destroyed nearly the entire city. Major construction is currently underway to rebuild the city.
