Billy Bishop Toronto City Centre Airport, also known as Island Airport, is a small commercial airport serving civil aviation, air ambulance, and regional commerical airline traffic.

Opened to aviation in 1939 as the Port George VI Airfield, the civilian facility became home to the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNAF) in exile as a training facility from 1940 through 1943, after which it served the Royal Canadian Air Force Royal Canadian Air Force's . 1 Training Command. Returning to civilian operations in 1946, the airport was steadily expanded to its current size and is presently a hub for regional carrier Porter Airlines.
