The former LCF for Mike Flight, comprised of 10 LGM-30G Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles. Nicknamed "Nervous Energy" by its crews, Mike-Zero was manned by elements of the 448th Strategic Missile Squadron, 321st Missile Wing, formerly based at Grand Forks AFB outside Grand Forks, North Dakota. Though it began with a flight of LGM-30F Minuteman II ICBMs in 1966, these were replaced with the Minuteman III between 1971 and 1973. It stood at the ready supporting the flight until the Air Force selected the 321st MW for deactivation in 1995 in line with international arms-reduction treaties. M-0's deactivation entailed imploding its underground Launch Control Center, filling in the sewage pool, and removing all systems from the above ground LCF building.
