Notes: The Crescent Hotel originally operated as a resort, but failed within only a few years. It reopened in 1908 as a women's college, which operated until 1937. At that time the college was sold and converted into a hospital and health resort. Today, the building is fully restored and operates in its original capacity as a luxury hotel. The facility is reputed to be haunted by various ghosts of people from its history, and it was featured on an episode of The SciFi Channel's "Ghost Hunters" as a result.
