Cloverleaf Waterpark

USA / California / Cathedral City / Edom Hill Road
abandoned / shut down, interesting place, historical layer / disappeared object, historic ruins

Cloverleaf was in operation for just over 2 years, 1987-1988.
Admission was $5.
The big cloverleaf shape was a huge shallow wading pool.
The parking was the area near the road.
There were two different areas with slides. Just to the right of the cloverleaf pool were the waterslides for small children. At the far right of the cloverleaf pool were the waterslides for big kids and adults up a hill.
The large waterslides were very long and windy.
At the time, it was often mentioned that cloverleaf had the longest enclosed waterslide in the country.
Occasionally the site was used as a concert venue.
It suffered from frequent, mild sandstorms and ant infestations.
