artificial lake created during construction of the Autobahn Berlin - Rostock in the 70s. The sand was taken for the concrete.
In the first years just used for wild swimming, beach volleyball, especially at the nudist area on the eastern shore, later extended with restaurants, entry fee, other sports facilities and sewage treatment. The Autobahn access road was removed after German reunification and located nearby.
