A 136-acre office and industrial complex at 4100 Clinton Drive built sometime in the 1970s as the world headquarters for engineering and construction giant Brown & Root, Incorporated. It was acquired by Halliburton in 1962 but kept its name until 1998, when Halliburton merged M.W. Kellogg (which it bought as part of its Dresser Industries acquisition that same year), giving it the name of Kellogg-Brown & Root. The company was renamed as KBR in 2002 and spun off from Halliburton in 2007. In February 2010, it was announced the company would consolidate their offices downtown and they began to wind down operations at this facility. Most of the non-office facilities were torn down, and the site was sold to Midway developers.
