The Seminary of the Immaculate Conception is the Roman Catholic center of theological education and pastoral and spiritual formation on Long Island. It was known as the Brooklyn Diocesan Seminary, designed by Robert J. Reiley with structural elements by the Guastavino Fireproof Tile Co., metalwork by Ferro Studio, fixtures by E.F. Caldwell & Co., mosaics by Hildreth Meière, and ornamentation by Frederick Bergmueller.

Located in the crypt chapel is a bell circa 1656 which was removed from the belfry of the Convent de la Candalaria in Cadiz, Southwestern Spain.
