Woodland Cemetery (Newark, New Jersey)

USA / New Jersey / Irvington / Newark, New Jersey / Rose Terrace
 cemetery, interesting place

Dedicated in 1863. The brownstone building above is about a eerie and as haunted as they come in New Jersey. I lived down the block and my friend who was a drug addict committed suicide here.

The desectrated graves demonstrate a disrespecting society. Maybe those disturbed in their eternal sleep will come to haunt you in your dreams... you who complain about being called names are living exactly up to that reputation.

  • Visited this cemetery about 1997. Most of the cemetery had been trashed and vandalized. What a shame!
  • Yep, the pic of the entrance was placed here by me (April 2008). Look closely and see the garbage has been dumped on the entrance roadway inside the cemetary.
