The Lutheran All Faiths Cemetery, in Middle Village (Queens, NY), was opened in 1852 following a ban on internments in Manhattan five years earlier. It's one of many cemeteries established during this era in Western Queens, and noted for being one of the finest maintained examples. Several victims of the General Slocum tragedy were buried here, and a ceremony is still held every year in remembrance.
