  One among the oldest markets. I remember since the year 1955, going to chavadi chanda from Pallithode Grammam. May be a maximum of Rs.400/- could have been the collection of the market per day from the sales of fish, meat and vegitable. The bycycle rental store at the north west corner which was owned by Kuchu Mohammed cannot be forgotten because, me and my close friends learned bycycling by renting the bycyle from him. Qaurter of a Rupee ( 4 Annas) used to be the rental charges for an hour. The Chayakkada with the the radio loud speaker was the only radio source of time.
