The village has a population of around 300 people. It has a modern infrastructure with good roads, mains water, electricity, landline telephone system and mobile phone masts. There are shops, pubs and cafe's, local post office and bus service to Veliko Tarnovo. There is a river for fishing and beautiful countryside views. The village is on the main route between the major towns of Veliko Tarnovo and Pavlikeni. The better route for travelling from Veliko Tarnovo to Pavlikeni is to take the route 303 off the E772 (Veliko Tarnovo to Sofia) with signs for Rusalya, then take the 3031 to Rusalya. The route north from Veliko Tarnovo has too many potholes.
