Kowdiar Palace is the personal residence of members of the Royal Family of erstwhile Travancore. The Palace was gifted in 1915 to HH Maharani Sethu Parvathi Bayi by HH Maharajah Moolam Thirunal.

The Palace was designed into the current sprawling structure by the Maharaja on the occasion of the wedding of his sister, Maharani Karthika Thirunal Lakshmi Bayi to Col Godavarma Raja in 1934.
