The origin of this village dates back to the late Ahom period. Our ancestors of this village migrated from the Charing area of Sivasagar district. That is why it is named as Charingia.Late Abhiram Neog and Late Kanak Chandra Neog were the first settlers of this village.It is situated 10km South to Jorhat district.
