Mariani is situated amidst the greenary of some of the biggest tea gardens of the world. It is growing as a commercial town and well connected with neighbouring Nagaland. Mariani is very close to Gibbon wildlife sanctuary -a prime habitat for the endangered Hoolock Gibbon.
