The structure sat vacant from 1982-1999, until it was gutted and converted to office space, occupied predominantly by engineering firms, energy companies and late-stage technology startups. The building was sold to Georgia Tech in 2016 as part of their Technology Square development.

The two historic ballrooms on the ground floor were restored in 1999 and are today used as function space. The ballroom served as a filming location for S1E15 of the CW series "Dynasty".
