The largest prehistoric necropolis in the world has been discovered on the coast, opposite the island.
The studied 1,200 graves show that the necropolis was used for a long time - during the Neolithic and Eneolithic, and constantly by the same population. This means that it has experienced many years of peaceful labor and peaceful social development.
