Allikondapattu is a tiny, calm village located on the outskirts of Thiruvannamalai at a distance of 15 Kms southwards, with a very good transportation facility. It possesses a newly built, wonderful St. John De Britto church, a small size hospital, a government-aided middle school and many more facilities to help the approximate 3000 residents spiritually, medically and educationally.

It's an independant panchayat, under the administation of Thiruvannamalai. Almost 99 per cent of its people are dependant on agriculture. Their primary cultivations are paddy, suggar cane, ground nut, ragi, millet, sun flower, and turmeric.

This village celebrated its golden jubilee in February 2010. It was really a grand function and it was the expression of faith and gratitude of the Allikondapattu residents. At that juncture the church was repainted and the sound system in the church was bettered. A new belfry was constructed. A TRUST was also started with the sole purpose of helping the aspirants for vocation. It is named after the Patron saint St. John De Britto, BEST as it is abbreviated, it is Britto Evangelising the Society Trust.
