Dr.Zakir Hussain College was founded by Ilayangudi people to educate the Muslim population during 1972. The first building was donated by Haji.V.M.Peer Mohamed, old Trustee of INP Jamath. Later, various rich men contributed for the development of the College. Now, Dr.ZHC is prominent institution in Sivaganga Dist.
