Land bought in 1889 by S.N. Khudekov, publisher of the "Petersburg newspaper", collector, playwright. on the slopes of Bald Mountain. In 1899 he built a villa named in honor of his wife Nadezhda. Today the park is 49 hectares with more than 1,500 plant species, divided into upper and lower areas. At the bottom is an aquarium. in corners are collections of plants from the Caucasus Japan, China, Australia , the Mediterranean, North and South America. Also displayed are rare animals and birds, a cable car, sculpture and art fountains. Plant research is conducted at the institute. Paid admission for adults is about US$ 9, cable car and tours are extra.
