Formerly known as Satellite Shopland. The iconic Sputnik-like signage once located in front of Satellite Market was built by Satellite Shopland's owner in his garage. The sign was torn down in 1995 when the city of Anaheim, after deciding to create bland uniformity in the Anaheim Resort area, had the area's signage sanitized and many older businesses, such as the Alpine Inn, lost their unique and iconic neon signage. Fortunately, the Shopland sign was fully restored and lives on in the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, OH.
