It is said that there was an ancient temple called "Vaishakheshwara Alayam" at this place . It got submerged due rising sea level.The stones were visible in the past and old generation vaguely remembers having seen them as early as 90-years . For other details , locals suggest to refer to Prof.E.V.Gangadharan (Geologist and Retd. Director of Marine Archeology , A.P.)
