The Dallas Convention Center is in Downtown Dallas, Texas. Designed by George L. Dahl, it was originally constructed in 1957 as the Dallas Memorial Auditorium with an arena, an auditorium, and some meeting rooms.

The first expansion in 1973, featuring two exhibit halls, was designed by Harrell & Hamilton. The second expansion in 1984, designed by Omniplan, added one exhibit hall. The third expansion in 1994, designed by Loschky, Marquardt, & Nesholm and JPJ Architects, added two more exhibit halls. The fourth expansion in 2002, designed by Larry Oltmanns, added another exhibit hall.

With a total floor area of 2,067,542 sq ft (192,081 sq m), the convention center features an indoor arena, a theatre, 6 exhibit halls, 2 ballrooms, and 86 breakout rooms. The largest contiguous exhibit space in the structure is 726,726 sq ft (67,515 sq m).
