Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Station has two Westinghouse 833 MW 3-loop Pressurized Water Reactors, and is operated by First Energy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC).It covers 500 acres (2 km²) near Shippingport, Pennsylvania, 34 miles (54 km) west by north of Pittsburgh.

First Energy Nuclear Operating Corporation is the holding company for Ohio Edison, Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company, Toledo Edison, Metropolitan Edison, Jersey Central Power and Light, and the Pennsylvania Power Company.
