beach, bathhouse
Probably one of the only beaches on the Great Salt Lake. Has changing rooms and outdoor showers (for washing the salt off). Wading into the lake is a very interesting experience and is not for the faint at heart. Most people probably do it so they can float on the water, which is pretty fun. (kindof like the dead sea, although the dead sea is a little saltier). There are clouds and clouds of brine flies which lift off the water. Brine flies and brine shrimp are the only two species that can survive in these waters and they thrive quite well. The waters and shore are covered with dead brine shrimp which the brine flies eat. Overall, it was a very memorable experience.
