  It is the nearest railway station for the neighbouring hill state Bhutan's west part. Situated in the very beutiful & peaceful town Rangia( the name derived from the words RAN & DIA, which in Assamese means place where the battles were being fought). The Rangiya Junction is the one of the Raiway Division of NF Railways, entrance towards the Tezpur, North bank of Upper Assam as well as to Arunachal Pradesh.
