The northern marshalling station in Chengdu in Sichuan Province is a State key construction project and the largest railway investment with many high technologies in it. It covers a total area of nearly 2.74 square kilometers. It is one of Asia's largest railway marshalling station with six yards in two ways. The system is divided into up and down train, each equipped with the system of departure (13 tracks in each) and arrival (11 tracks in each), marshalling (32 tracks in each) and through yard with 139 tracks total length 197 km.
