Xiangyang North Station is a marshalling station of route network, one direction, three grades and four yards, which is located in Xiangyang Xiangzhou district and was founded in 1958. Currently it is the largest one direction tandem railway marshalling yard in Asia. It is one of the core junctions in the eight vertical and eight horizontal network of Chinese railway transport, taking the responsibility of train decentralization for Handan, Jiaoliu and Xiangfan-Chongqing,three railway lines in five directions. It is also one of the 38 network marshalling yards.
