Former gypsum and aggregate quarry. Gypsum Canyon Road is named after this quarry. Sand and gravel has been extracted from this quarry since the mid-50s under various owners: R.F. White, Owl Rock Products, All American Asphalt, and more recently, Robertson's Ready Mix.
