The Amalie Arena (formerly Tampa Bay Times Forum) is an indoor arena at the Channelside district of Downtown Tampa, Florida. It is the home arena of the Tampa Bay Lighning of the NHL. The arena has two other tenants: the Tampa Bay Storm of the AFL/AF1 (1997-present) and the Tampa Breeze of the LFL. The Lightning have used Expo Hall and the Thunderdome before moving into this arena. It has a capacity of 19,758 with 72 luxury boxes. The arena was named the Ice Palace from 1996 to 2002.

The arena played host to the 1999 NHL All-Star Game, WWE Survivor Series 2000, the 2007 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament, the 2008 Southeast Conference men's basketball tournament, ArenaBowl XII in 1998, ArenaBowl XVII in 2003, the 2008 NCAA Women's Final Four, the 2009 NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship, and the 2012 NCAA Frozen Four.
In August 27-30 2012 it hosted the Republican National Convention.
