The monument to Anatolii Solovianenko was established on May 31, 2002 near the Donetsk Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet, named in his honor.
Sculptor: Oleksandr Skorykh.
Architect: Vitalii Viazovskyi.

Anatolii Solovianenko (1932–1999) was a Ukrainian opera tenor, who was born in Donetsk.
He graduated the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute in 1954.
Also he studied singing from 1950, and began his career in Donetsk.

In 1962, he was invited to the Kyiv Opera and Ballet Theater, then completed an internship at the La Scala Theater (Milano).
Since 1965, for 30 years, he was a soloist of the Kyiv Opera.
He graduated the Kyiv Conservatory in 1978.
In the 1977–1978 season, Anatolii Solovianenko performed as a soloist at the New York Metropolitan Opera.
