A renaissance indeed. This building was built as dorms for Jimmy Swaggart Bible College in the 1980s but scandals relating to Swaggart in the early 1990s derailed funding and the building sat unoccupied and unfinished for another 20 years. Eventually, by the early 2010s, it was completed as an upscale hotel.
