Metlakatla is a census-designated place (CDP) on Annette Island in Prince of Wales-Hyder Census Area, Alaska. The population was 1,499 as of 2009.

Metlakatla is the only village on the only Native Reservation in Alaska. You have to have permission to visit. The population is mainly employed by the BIA and the Metlakatla Indain Community which offer support for the residents.
