Longworth Hall (Cincinnati, Ohio)

USA / Kentucky / Ludlow / Cincinnati, Ohio / West Pete Rose Way, 700

Longworth Hall is a beautiful adaptation of a quarter mile long warehouse that was built in 1904 on land owned by Nicolas Longworth. Originally constructed for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad as a freight station and storage warehouse, the lower floor of the five story building, 300,000 sq. ft. building, was used to off load incoming freight, while the upper floors were used for storage. Designed in the Romanesque Revival style, by architect MA Long, the 1273 foot long building is similar to the structure built by the B&O at Camden Yards in Baltimore.

After being abandonned for ten years, the building was purchased in 1985 from CSX and converted into loft office space. In addition to housing approximately 80 firms, it also features a banquet hall with a capacity of 450 people.
