Renamed Camp Bonifas from Camp Kitty Hawk in 1986 after a US Army captain killed in the Ax Murder Incident. United with former Camp Liberty Bell in 1991 as an enlarged Camp Bonifas. In 2004 the facility was transfered to ROK command.
