  • Murtry Aqueduct is maintained by the Dorset & Somerset Canal Society in partnership with the landowners. Chairman of the Dorset & Somerset Canal Society is Derrick Hunt 01225 863066.
  • There is a public footpath at the side of the road bridge over the railway, the footpath is on the old bed of the canal up to the Murtry aquaduct then follows the river along to the bridge at Hapsford hill where there is a laybye to park as there is nowhere to park on the A362 end
