Schonfeld Group Holdings is the family office of Steven Schonfeld, one of Wall Street's top traders. The son of a fabric manufacturer, Schonfeld founded a proprietary trading firm on New York's Long Island, the Schonfeld Group, in 1988. He fronted cash to teams that rapidly traded stocks and futures and by 2001 he employed 1,100 traders.
