The 284,000 sq. ft. aluminum parts casting plant was constructed in 1942 to manufacture aircraft parts by the Aluminum Company of Canada. In 1964 it was sold to Chrysler Canada and expanded in 1965 and 1998. The plant currently employs 256 and manufactures aluminum die castings; engine and transmission parts
