"Kaleto" is a natural monument with Ordinance No.345 from 17.05.1979 by the Committee for Natural Environmental Protection at the Council of Ministers.

The ruins of the Fortress Kaleto near town of Ardino are located in the area "Orlovi Skali" ("Eagle Rocks"), about 500 meters away of a Thracian sanctuary. Nowadays it is totally demolished and it is difficult to be found, but the fortress was situated at the height before niches of the sanctuary.
The fortification was in form of an irregular circle with a diameter of 67 meters and covering an area of ​​0.5 decares. It was built from stones without mortar. In the region were found many remains of Thracian pottery.
