A ruined Maya observatory in Mayapan, originally known as the "Caracol" by analogy with a similar structure at Chichen Itza. It is formally designated Structure Q-152 and is believed to have served as an observatory. It was badly damaged after a lighting strike in 1869, and was substantially cleared and restored starting in 1997.
