BNSF Railway and Union Pacific rail lines cross here at Grand Junction.
The BNSF branch leads to Coeur D' Alene, and was a part of the Northern Pacific Railway,
while Union Pacific's line was the Spokane International Railway.
The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad ran through Grand Junction
from 1916 until 1980, crossing over Northern Pacific and Union Pacific rail lines.
