Ordinanced as historical place with No.2122 from 21.01.1964 and re-categorizated as protected site with Ordinance No.РД-856 from 18.09.2002.
Aglikina Polyana is protected site with area: 120.0 hectares.
The site of the protected area (BG0002058) is included in the Natura 2000 site Sinite kamani - Grebenets (in Bulgarian: „Сините камъни – Гребенец“) under Directive 79/409/EEC for the conservation of wild birds.

Aglikina meadow is 38 km northwest of Sliven, in Elena Balkan. Aglikina Lawn is a historic place, known in Bulgarian history as a gathering place of chieftains. Aglikina lawn is spacious lawn surrounded by old oak and beech.
