194-foot, 18-story Art-Deco cooperative-apartment building completed in 1931. Designed by Thomas W. Lamb, it is clad in beige brick with a light-grey granite water table. The main entrance is centered and has glass-and-iron double-doors below a rounded, green canvas canopy extending out over the sidewalk. It is set in a 2-story surround of beige stone. To the right are two single-windows, a black metal service door, and a double-window; and to the left are two single-windows, a black metal service door, two more single-windows, and another service door. The ground-floor windows have angular, geometric iron grilles.
The upper floors have four single-windows in the middle (with their upper halves divided into two panes), flanked by a tripartite window, a smaller, narrow single-window, and tripartite windows in the end bays. Up to the 4th floor there are smooth bands of warm, tan stone at the tops and bottoms of each floor. There is subtle brick banding on the end bays beginning at the 4th floor, and the inner tripartite bays project out very slightly. The middle bays are separated by slightly-projecting brick piers, and have spandrels between floors with grid-like brickwork patterns. Most of the tripartite windows have air-conditioning vents below them.
The ends of the facade set back above the 16th floor, where they are capped by geometric, Art-Deco modillions. The inner tripartite bays end here as well, with the two floors above shifted inward and having single-windows. The four middle bays have projecting, angled piers at the 17th & 18th floors, with the roof line at the 18th floor. There are two small, set-back sections at the 17th floor, on either side of the middle section, each two single-windows.
The east facade has two narrow bays of single- and double-windows on its front section, with the front one shifted to the front edge on the 2nd-7th floors. The rear is set back, and has two more windows in the middle, and two at the back. The rear, north-facing facade has shallow setbacks above the 9th, 12th, 14th, 16th, and 17th floors. The building contains 80 apartments.
