The terminus in the AT&T Long Lines Project Office troposcatter network, these units were linked with the "Buckingham" site atop Spears Mountain by a roughly 400mi troposcatter shot. Co-located microwave transmitters/receivers linked the units to Pope and Seymour Johnson Air Force Bases and Fort Bragg.

  • Range is actually closer to 400 miles, not 200. The 200 mile range was effective when the facility was first built, but modern electronics let us bounce the signle to around 400 miles.
