This former health center is a good example of the shift in style that such facilities underwent after the end of World War II. Its simple, unadorned International-style architecture emphasized functionality and efficiency. Originally the center was segregated, with separate entrances for whites and African Americans, though it was later integrated. The complex was converted into an apartment building in the late 2010s.
